Its been awhile since I really had the time to just sit, and scrap away my day...
I am looking forward to the weeks to come... to get some Major things done... and to give way to new happenings!

However, I managed to do up this layout... yesterday night... incorporating a hanging decoration I made last week...

Its for a challenge at MWL. A challenge using 2 non traditional items into a layout...uniquely...

A very interesting and fun way to learn about colours!

Enjoy the good week ahead!

Im very sure you've got tons of scrap papers of all different sizes, colours, and patterns...tucked away in some folders, or organizer... which you sometimes forget to revisit...

What I like doing, to ensure that these leftover papers are put into good use is have them close when I start scrapping... I incorporate them into layouts by using them in layers, have images stamp over them, then cut out... use them as journalling strips... borders...or making paper flowers from them.

This is a simple layout with my photos from Botanic Gardens visit...where I used my leftover papers... strips from Sassafras paper... I also added other leftover papers and made it all sync by inking the edges in "Fire Brick" distress ink. The touch of red in the layout highlights the purple flowers on my dress and my red bag.

Hoping for a Happy Bright week ahead...
Have a good Sunday!

I think my mellow thoughts past days have caused a whirlpool of emotions... good for scrapping! and as I scrap tonight... I am in deep thoughts.

I think eventhough there may be difficult times in Life, we must always go through it the best way we can... I constantly have to remind myself - I do not have Control over everything. Those that I do, I do my best, and those that I don't, I Let Go.
Cause it can get really messy sometimes- my head.

Today, Let's give credit to ourselves for Giving our all to Life, in Life... Let's remember the times, We almost gave up trying... and the times We almost saw no reason to go on... But WE always DO get through it ALL.
And it's always Hope, good love, care and guidance from somewhere, something, someone.... that drives us.

A little inspiration...to save the day...

I received a pink rose from my sister the other day,and it was such a sweet gesture... you know, when you really look at a rose and observe its beauty...you will be in awe... for a rose, even in its death is beautiful... I took photos of it as it withered... and dried in the sun...

I always thought roses are magical... especially after watching 'The Cave of the Golden Rose' as a child... it was aired in the early 90's...I loved Fantaghiro's charm... she always had to come across as a strong and courageous woman... but really, she too had her moments... most of all I love the theme song... Mio Nemico (my enemy)...Hope you enjoy the link below... and oh yes... I love the clothes they wore too...

Its term break...a week to catch up on assignments, work, cleaning up and scrapbooking!
and Great news...All items are on sale till the 13th of September... So hurry, grab what you like...

Today has been a slow day... mostly cleaning up my room and parts of the house...and that can be very relaxing... and then a sudden burst of creativity sparked and I felt scrappy...

I still have photos from the Botanic gardens (June trip)... so  decided to scrapbook this one.... and experiment greens with reds...

I spent whole of Sunday making some Thank you cards for my colleagues... and had a good break cleaning the house and working on some projects yesterday ... I had set aside time to work on my mother's childhood photographs... and looking through those photographs, it got me inspired to create another layout for my "Scrap a quote" challenge...

And guess what... after using my camera for the last 3months or so... I've just discovered some great editing functions today... so... I thought I should put up some of these edited images... Enjoy the sneak peeks....

I love the use of neutrals in her layout. The mellow colours highlight the mood, while the changing angles of the photographs in black & white is haunting... her darker moments turned out Inspiring!

A RAK is coming your way...
